Animal Memo

Mix and Match
Develop your child’s memory skills by setting up a traditional game of pairs with your Animal Memo.  Having to memorise positions of tiles as well as animal features will help increase your child’s thinking capacity while also developing hand-eye co-ordination.  Develop this idea further when the child recognises the animals as well as the colour patterns.

Story Time
Break up the memory game or use as a story tool at bedtime.  Allow your child to select a tile from the Animal Memo and then tell them a story.  Storytelling is an excellent tool to stimulate a child’s thinking as they will begin to recognise characteristics to aid memory of each animal.  As your child develops they will soon be able to create their own imaginative tales.

Spelling Bee
Increase the challenge as pairs becomes too easy for your child.  Perhaps ask your child to repeat the spelling of the animal after you, soon they’ll be able to do this for themselves!
