It's very simple. You know your business. We know kids toys. We are a small, but growing, company of experienced professionals, with contacts throughout the toy industry. We do a lot of research and testing to find best gifts for you. I also have two young boys myself (Bartley & Sydney) that constantly remind my wife and I what kids really enjoy playing with! You'll see pictures of them using many of our toys in real life situations at various places throughout the website!
I founded Little Sardines in 2009 after spending many frustrating hours - at the last minute - trying to find the right gifts for nieces, nephews, and godchildren in department stores and on the internet (sound familiar?!). I wanted good quality toys that would last and showed some imagination - not just cheap disposable plastic items with batteries and flashing lights.I was (and still am!) very busy and I wanted to find the right gift fast and for a good price. I wanted the child to be happy but I also wanted the minimum of fuss. I wanted a toy expert I could rely on.
It seems I was not the only one either! Since launch we have been steadily building a loyal following of customers that value their time and our (free) expertise. People that realise they have found a new simple stress-free way to buy gifts for children.

We know children's toys inside out. We know what excites the little ones. We have the experience, we do the research, we attend the trade fairs, and we know the current trends. We also know the sure fire toys and gifts that stand the test of time and are always a winner with the kids. Most importantly, we ensure our gifts are tested and researched with real children (including our own!) so we know they will be enjoyed and appreciated. We work with top quality toy suppliers such as Melissa & Doug and Manhattan Toy from the USA, Ravensburger from Germany, EverEarth, Plan Toys, Ecoboo and others from the UK.
We stock many of the well-known brands but also actively seek out and promote smaller, quirkier and more unusual suppliers. This ensures you get gifts and will be appreciated and stand out from the crowd.
We will cut though all the noise and endless choice and just make it easy for you to remember the birthdays, and get the right gift to your child with minimum fuss. That's our promise to you.

This great service does not come at a high price either! We are very price competitive. Why put yourself through all the trouble of browsing around many stores when we can take care of everything for you - quickly and at genuinely honest prices.
We are really passionate about the great products we source, and the happy customers (and of course kids!) that benefit from our unique service. We keep our overheads low so we can compete effectively with the big chains and High Street stores. We really do offer more - but at no extra cost to you. We also genuinely value and respect every single customer - not something you can say about every High Street store!

We genuinely appreciate your business. If ever there are any problems they are always dealt with immediately and to you, the customer’s, satisfaction.

I make it my first job every morning to review these emails - that’s how much satisfied customers mean to us. We are passionate about making children’s gift buying easier for you. Our success is built on loyalty and word of mouth and that only comes from genuinely satisfied customers.

We also actively support children's charities to ensure the less fortunate kids also get presents for their birthdays too. We do this via toy donations but more importantly via a formal policy to donate at least 10% of our profits each year to carefully selected children's charities.
